Due to the unique nature of welcoming a dog with a neurological disability into your family, the Be Like Josh Foundation requires all adopters to travel to the Phoenix area for a minimum of two nights for a meet and greet/adoption trial prior to finalizing the adoption.
Currently, due to travel restrictions and vaccination requirements, we are only able to adopt to homes located in the contiguous United States.
For all the dogs below, they do not need to have a status of "adoptable" in order to send in an application!
We understand that there is an emotional investment in applying to adopt a dog and we realize that the application process is rather impersonal. Everybody on our team has had the experience of applying for adoption and we understand how important it is to stand out from the pack. We welcome and encourage you to write an additional love letter along with your application. Simply create a separate email and tell us about yourself, and why you feel you would be the perfect fit. Please send your email separately to jenny@belikejosh.org and with the subject line "Love Letter to (dog's name) from (name of applicant)"
